Wholesale drug distributors operating in Oklahoma must obtain an annual license from the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy, with a separate license required for each physical facility. Oklahoma requires non-resident distributors shipping into the state to hold both an Oklahoma license and a valid license from their home jurisdiction.

The Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy (OSBP) regulates wholesale drug distributors under Title 63 O.S. § 63-1-1119 and Oklahoma Administrative Code § 535:20-7-3 through 535:20-7-4. Title 63 O.S. § 63-1-1119 requires manufacturers, wholesalers, and brokers of drugs to obtain an annual license from the Board.

Controlled substance registrations fall under the separate jurisdiction of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control (OBN) per Title 63 O.S. § 63-2-302.

Any person or entity engaged in the wholesale distribution of prescription drugs in, from, or into Oklahoma must hold a wholesale distributor license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy. Each physical location requires a separate license.
