Every distributor profile pulls data from five independent regulatory sources: state boards of pharmacy issue wholesale drug distributor licenses and track disciplinary actions; the NABP VAWD program independently verifies licensure, policies, and facility standards; the FDA Drug Establishment Registration database confirms active registration with the Food and Drug Administration; and openFDA enforcement data surfaces recalls, warning letters, and other regulatory actions.
The compliance score (0-100) weighs six components: state license coverage and active rate (25 points), NABP VAWD accreditation status (25 points), FDA establishment registration (20 points), DSCSA compliance signals (10 points), DEA registration (10 points), and clean regulatory history (10 points). Distributors with higher scores demonstrate broader, verified compliance across multiple federal and state authorities. Data is refreshed regularly from public regulatory databases. State license records are updated as boards publish new filings, FDA registration status is synchronized with the eDRLS database, and NABP accreditation is cross-referenced against the VAWD directory.
